Success Stories

Telos Air (Clarkson Faculty)

TelosAir is a technology company that enables healthy and energy-efficient commercial buildings through the use of continuous indoor air quality (IAQ) detection and advanced analytics. TelosAir emerged from leading academic research at Clarkson University and has been the recipient of several grants and awards from pre-eminent federal and state agencies. Founded in 2017 as Potsdam Sensors, TelosAir has grown into a revenue-generating company with products on the market, serving over 10 customers across four countries and covering nearly 1.5 million square feet of space.

Reset Water (Clarkson Faculty)

Harmful algal blooms (HABs) pose severe threats to lake ecosystems, recreational opportunities and public health, and the mitigation of these blooms represent a market opportunity of at least $50 million. ResET Water, applying an electrochemical oxidation (EO) process, has achieved early success by demonstrating the efficacy of a boat-mounted prototype for HAB mitigation. While ResET’s production capacity is limited by the availability of locally produced equipment (power supplies and electrodes for the EO process), they are currently testing electrodes manufactured to ResET’s proprietary specifications by a NY State based company. With the help of this NYS manufacturer, ResET Water will be well positioned to enter the local and US market.

KLAW Industries (Student/Alumni)

KLAW Industries was founded in 2019 after touring recycling facilities and seeing firsthand the problems with post-consumer glass. Concrete producers are struggling with the supply of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM’s) and Pantheon™ was developed to solve both of these problems. KLAW Industries’ mission is to create material solutions for the concrete and recycling industries. As both industries continue to change, they are focused on developing materials that benefit users and keep the cost burden off of producers.
